Lindsay Wieczorek, PhD
Dr. Lindsay Wieczorek is a biomedical scientist and rare disease advocate with over 20 years of experience spanning immunology, infectious disease, and neurodevelopmental research. Before joining CombinedBrain, Lindsay served as Scientific Director for the Syngap Research Fund where she led real-world data initiatives for drug repurposing in rare disease communities. Prior to that, she co-directed the Humoral Immunology Section at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, overseeing multimillion-dollar research portfolios in HIV and coronavirus immunology. She earned her Ph.D. in Cellular and Microbial Biology from The Catholic University of America and her M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. As both a scientist and a parent of a child with SYNGAP1-related disorder, Lindsay is personally and professionally dedicated to translating science into meaningful therapies that improve lives.
